Jose Aldo thinks it’s time to run things back with Conor McGregor. Over the weekend (Sat. October 6, 2018) McGregor came up short in his Octagon return. He was submitted in the fourth round by Khabib Nurmagomedov in the main event of UFC 229. Khabib successfully defended his 155-pound title in the process.
Despite McGregor’s calls for an immediate rematch, it doesn’t seem like that makes much sense considering he was the challenger and lost rather handily. McGregor might need one more fight before jumping back into the cage to challenge for a title. A rematch against Jose Aldo might be the perfect fight for “The Notorious.” McGregor defeated Aldo in spectacular fashion back in December of 2015.
He was the first fighter to defeat the Brazilian in nearly a decade. Not only that, but McGregor also became the second-ever featherweight champion in UFC history. Aldo took the loss very hard and has been campaigning for a rematch ever since. “Scarface” recently took to Instagram to declare that there’s nowhere left for McGregor to run. It’s time for their rematch:
“There’s nowhere to run! It’s time!”
What do you think about Aldo proposing a McGregor rematch?
