UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo will return to the Octagon against Chad Mendes at UFC 179 in Rio De Janerio, Brazil on October 25th.
The two were originally scheduled to fight in the main event of UFC 176, but Aldo was injured just a week before the ill-fated show.
Following the cancellation, both men started talking a ton of trash about one another, with Mendes saying Aldo is running from him and Aldo calling Mendes a p*ssy and questioning his “supplements.”
The two fighters fought back in January 2012 at UFC 142 (also from Rio), with Aldo emerging victorious after a first-round KO.
So far Aldo Vs Mendes II is the only fight scheduled for UFC 179, the first pay-per-view event of the year to be broadcast from Brazil after a string of ‘Fight Night’ shows there in 2014.
