At the World Series of Fighting event on Saturday night in Las Vegas, a brawl broke out in the crowd between UFC fighters Nick and Nate Diaz, and Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Nate Diaz has released a video statement talking about the brawl after it happened, and now we have Nurmagomedov’s side of the story.
The Russian Lightweight contender took to Instagram recently, and shared his version of the events that transpired this past Saturday night. Below is what Khabib had to say.
“There are simply unrealistic numbers of reports about yesterday’s incident,” Khabib said on Instagram. “I can tell you the truth: fights between males occur, there is nothing unusual about this, but since we are both UFC fighters, this clash was big news. Yesterday we came face-to-face with Diaz and had a verbal argument, and then he began the first fight. I was a professional fighter aware that it was all happening out there. Since it was a live broadcast of the WSOF event, it can be confirmed by the large number of witnesses, so I do not want to describe all the details.
“They [Diaz Brothers] ran from me three times. We’ll see what will happen next. I’ve already asked for a fight with him [Nate] from the UFC bosses, but judging by the speed that Diaz ran, it is hard to believe that the fight will take place.”
Now that you have Diaz and Nurmagomedov’s sides of the story, you can watch the brawl for yourself. Part one took place in the crowd during the WSOF 22 event, which you can watch by clicking here, and part two took place in the hotel lobby bar after the event, which you can check out by clicking here.
Oh, by the way, some crazy sh*t went down during the WSOF 22 main event as well.
