Khamzat Chimaev will be making his long-awaited return this October when he takes on Li Jingliang at the UFC 267 pay-per-view.
Fans now have another date to look forward to, as the man widely regarded as the biggest prospect in the UFC, Khamzat Chimaev, will be returning on October 30, as first reported by Octagon Bet. Awaiting him will be seven-year UFC veteran Li Jingliang.
Khamzat Chimaev burst onto the MMA scene in 2020 with an unannounced fury, rallying together three viral smashings in a row. After pummeling John Phillips and Rhys McKee without any trace of mercy, Borz would then make it a quick day with a one-punch KO of veteran Gerald Meerschaert last September.

This latest performance was enough to send UFC President Dana White springing up from his seat, and he was so enthused by what he had witnessed that the unranked Chimaev was then booked to face #3-ranked Leon Edwards to headline a Fight Night card for his next bout.
Unfortunately, that fight was not meant to be and was never able to come to fruition. At one point, Chimaev even hinted at retirement after a lengthy battle with COVID-19 complications. But ultimately, COVID would prove to be no match for Borz, as Chimaev pressed on in his comeback trail before ultimately landing on #12-ranked Li Jingliang.
Li Jingliang is known to thrill the crowd with many great performances in the UFC over the years, with four Performance of the Night bonuses along with two Fight of the Nights to boot. More than just an exciting fighter, Jingliang has proven to be a consistent winner as the victor of four of his last five fights. In his most recent outing, he defeated Santiago Ponzinibbio via knockout. He will now turn his attention to the highly touted and undefeated Khamzat Chimaev.
UFC 267 does not have an official main event as of yet, but there is currently a light heavyweight title bout scheduled for the event between champion Jan Blachowicz and challenger, Glover Teixeira.
With the addition of this welterweight scrap, the updated UFC 267 lineup can be found below.
