Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal defeated Jiri Prochazka by KO in round one of their fight for the Rizin Fighting Federation this week. At the post-fight press conference, Lawal was asked about the headlining fighter of the same show: Fedor Emelianenko.
Here’s what ‘Mo had to say:
“Anything is possible. Fedor’s a legend. If [Rizin] offered the fight and he wanted to fight me, I wouldn’t say no. I’m not the one to call out Fedor and say I want to fight him. I’d love to but he is a legend and I have to show him respect. But if I was offered the fight, for the people of Japan, I’d gladly do it.”
Fedor finished Jaideep Singh in the first round of their fight at the Rizin event this week. You can see the full results with video here.
