Kris Moutinho Predicts a Second Round Knockout Of Sean O’Malley

Just as his star-studded foe Sean O’Malley’s predicted, UFC debutante Kris Moutinho also expects a second-round stoppage at their UFC 264 fight tomorrow night.

The last few weeks have been a whirlwind for Moutinho, as the 28-year old quit his day job at a paint factory to further pursue his MMA goals. Ahead of his fight with “Suga” Sean O’Malley, initially, Moutinho didn’t even think he had a chance at getting his name called by the popular bantamweight. After a little time, his manager told him the fight was indeed going to happen and Moutinho’s focus quickly turned to make sure he puts on a show.

While Moutinho admits that maybe O’Malley’s hair is cooler and that he has more money, the 28-year-old is more concerned with the actual fighting than the pageantry.

“Yeah, he’s got a little more money. Kris Moutinho said to MMA Fighting. His (hair) still might look better, but it’s alright, man. I’m OK with it. I don’t need to be the superstar pretty boy like him. He can have it. He can have it. He can have the good talking and all that stuff. He can keep it. I’m just here to fight, man. I’m here to just do what I love.” Kris Moutinho said.

Kris Moutinho Makes Bold Prediction Ahead Of O’Malley Fight

O’Malley had his crystal ball moment and forecasted a second-round knockout of Moutinho. Following the prediction, Moutinho made one of his own.

“Yeah, we’ll go second-round knockout, too. I can’t wait.” Moutinho said.

Prior to being paired with O’Malley, Moutinho competed in the Cage Fury Fighting Championship (CFFC) and won his last bout by arm-triangle choke. Moutinho is a well-rounded fighter, but since he is a UFC newcomer with a patchy record, O’Malley has faced harsh criticism for “picking” a fight with the youngster.

Either way, it’s a huge opportunity at Moutinho’s doorstep, as the bantamweight has the chance to take out one of UFC’s fastest rising stars.

How do you see the fight between Kris Moutinho and Sean O’Malley going? Do you agree with either fighter’s prediction?
