Derrick Lewis has landed free Popeyes chicken for life. “The Black Beast” and Daniel Cormier will headline UFC 230 this weekend (Sat. November 3, 2018) in Madison Square Garden. Their feud might be the only in UFC history to originate over the disrespect of Popeyes chicken. Cormier and Lewis first exchanged words at a UFC press conference this past summer.
Lewis joked that Cormier “disrespected” Popeyes chicken in an old parody video. Three months later, Cormier and Lewis find themselves headlining an MSG card for the heavyweight title. In the wake of the feud, Popeyes has apparently thrown their support behind Lewis. ESPN’s Ariel Helwani reports Derrick Lewis has landed a deal with the fast-food chain and will receive free Popeyes chicken for life:

Lewis’ manager, Malki Kawa, confirmed that Lewis and Popeyes are now partnered up together:
