UFC play-by-play announcer Mike Goldberg’s return to NFL commentary has come and gone, as the vioce of the Octagon battles handled the commentary for FOX’s coverage of the Minnesota Vikings vs. Detroit Lions game on Sunday afternoon.
If the fan response on social media is any indication, Mr. Goldberg bombed.
Goldberg went back-and-forth with fans on his official Twitter account after the game, most of which criticized his performance and basically told him how bad they thought he sucked.
The longtime UFC announcer seems unfazed by the negative reaction to his NFL on FOX debut, as he chalked it up to a learning experience and claimed he would deliver a better broadcast performance when he covers next week’s Minnesota Vikiings vs. Buffalo Bills game for FOX.
Below are some of the tweets sent to Goldberg, along with his replies back to the fans who sent them.
