Nick Diaz Shows Up Late For Q&A, Talks Possible Move To UFC Lightweight Division

After arriving late for a Twitter Q&A session on Wednesday evening, UFC bad boy Nick Diaz answered some questions from MMA fans on a number of topics.

One fan hit a nerve with Diaz, when asking him if he could learn from Chris Weidman’s game plan against Anderson Silva by checking “The Spider’s” leg kicks.

“That’s a rude question,” said Diaz. “I train with Joe Schilling, I’d say he’s one of the top kick boxers in the world.”

Diaz added, “I’ve always had some of the best kick boxers in the world in the gym.”

With Diaz moving from the UFC Welterweight division to the UFC Middleweight division for his upcoming fight with Silva in January, one fan asked about the possibility of Diaz moving down in weight and possibly competing in the UFC Lightweight division.

“On account of the athleticism I bring to the table, I am sure I could make it to 155,” said Diaz. “(I) don’t know that going to 155 would be necessary to fight anyone at that weight, unless it was for the fight that people want to see and makes sense.”

Diaz challenges Silva in the main event of UFC 183, which takes place on January 31, 2015 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
