Ronda Rousey Makes First Public Statement Since Loss At UFC 193

Ronda Rousey made her first public statement since losing her first professional fight at UFC 193, when Holly Holm knocked her out in the second round. Rousey reiterated her previous statements about taking time off from MMA, writing “I’m going to take a little but of time, but I’ll be back.”

Earlier this month, Rousey revealed in an interview that she planned to take time off after UFC 193 in Melbourne, Australia:

“After this fight I’m definitely going to let some people miss me, for sure,” Rousey said. “Believe me, there’s nothing I would like to do more than disappear for a while…I would like to wait until UFC 200 to fight again.

“I’m going to be filming (movies) in the meantime, so I’m still going to be keeping busy.”

There’s no word on when Rousey will return to action, but both Holly Holm and UFC president Dana White have expressed interest in making a rematch happen.
