Ronda Rousey’s Mom Would Hit Coach With Car If It Was Legal

A couple days ago, we reported on some comments that Dr. AnnMaria De Mars, the mother of UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey, had made in an interview with LatiNation (clip embedded above). In the clip, she went off on Edmond Tarverdyan, her daughter’s head coach, calling him a “terrible coach.” While criticism of Tarverdyan on both a technical and interpersonal level is not new, De Mars focused on him refusing to train her daughter, an Olympic judo bronze medalist for four months after joining the Glendale Fighting Club.

Now, according to BloodyElbow.com, LatiNation uploaded a second video…but it was quickly set to “private” on YouTube. They were able to transcribe De Mars’ comments before it got pulled, and they’re…interesting, to say the least:

I will tell you this. Every time I go in his gym, he used to say, ‘How are you?’ And I’d say, ‘How the f–k do you think I am? I’m in your f–king gym and I f–king hate you!’ So now he doesn’t ask me how I am anymore. Yes, [I’m referring to Edmond].. I hate him. I would run him over with my car if there wasn’t a law against it.

[The interviewer asks if he could mention Tarverdyan by name]

Yes, you can say his name! Who the f—k is he?! He’s not like the f—king nameless one from Harry Potter! I hate that guy! He’s like the most worthless human being God ever put on this earth.

Ronda Rousey fights Holly Holm at UFC 193 on November 15th (local time, it’ll be the night of the 14th in North America) live on pay-per-view from Ethiad Stadium in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, The crowd of 50,000+ will either be the new UFC record or just behind the record set by UFC 129 at Rogers Centre in Toronto for Georges St. Pierre vs. jake Shields.
