During a recent appearance on Bruce Buffer’s “It’s Time” podcast, UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey spoke about the issue of fighter pay in MMA.
Rousey insists that she’s very well taken care of, however she doesn’t want people knowing her “private” salary.
“The money that I make, I’m very, very happy, and I’m very, very satisfied,” Rousey told the UFC ring announcer. “It’s also very, very private. I don’t want people to know how much money I’m making.”
Rousey continued, “I can just say I’m very comfortable and very well taken care of. So are all these other women, from what I know they’re extremely well taken care of. The UFC is special in that they’re willing to make themselves look bad so the fighters have to deal with less.”
