Although Anderson Silva and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua aren’t scheduled to fight after handling the coaching duties for the next season of The Ultimate Fighter in Brazil, that doesn’t mean at least one of them isn’t willing to.
In a recent discussion with the folks at MMAJunkie.com, Shogun revealed that while it’s not something he’s particularly looking forward to, he is absolutely willing to fight “The Spider.”
“I never said I wouldn’t fight him,” Rua said. “It’s something I’m not looking forward to. I’m not making an effort. But if the UFC suggested that, then I would.”
Shogun Rua and Anderson Silva coach season four of The Ultimate Fighter Brazil, which begins airing outside of Brazil on UFC Fight Pass beginning in April of 2015.
