The return of “The Pitbull” Thiago Alves has been postponed. The former UFC welterweight title contender was forced to pull out of his scheduled return bout at UFC Fight Night 49, where he was to fight Jordan Mein.
With Alves injured and out of the fight, Mein (28-9) will instead face rising welterweight prospect Brandon Thatch (11-1) at the UFN 49 show, which takes place on August 23rd.
UFC Fight Night 49 is scheduled to take place at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with a main event of Benson Henderson vs. Rafael dos Anjos.
