UFC Fight Night 86 took place on Sunday, April 10, 2016 in Zagreb, Croatia, featuring an intriguing Heavyweight main event between top contenders Ben Rothwell and Junior Dos Santos.
The main event saw Dos Santos pick-apart Rothwell with strikes across five rounds in a fight that was contested completely on the feet. Rothwell’s power kept Dos Santos conservative in his attack, but in the end, JDS’ accumulative attack added up and by the end of the fight, Rothwell’s face showed it.
In the co-main event of the evening, which was also a heavyweight bout, Derrick Lewis emerged as a top 15 contender by brutally knocking out longtime veteran Gabriel Gonzaga in the first round.
