UFC Makes Two Hall Of Fame Announcements, Two More Expected This Week

On this week’s edition of UFC Tonight, UFC announced two new additions to their UFC Hall Of Fame.

Along with a person being inducted, an actual fight has been selected to enter the coveted Hall Of Fame.

Former UFC Commissioner and announcer Jeff Blatnick, who actually named the sport “Mixed Martial Arts” and help write the original UFC rule book, most of which still applies today, will be inducted this year.

Additionally, UFC has chosen the Matt Hughes vs. Frank Trigg UFC Welterweight Championship fight from 2005 as the fight that will be inducted this year.

Between now and the end of the week, two more Hall Of Fame announcements are expected, with one “Pioneer era” fighter being inducted (meaning their career started before 2001) and a “Modern era” fighter (career beginning 2001 or later) being inducted as well.
