The UFC has announced that the promotion will be making their second visit to Ottawa on May 4th from the Canadian Tire Centre as reported by TSN. A main event for the card has yet to be announced, but several fighters were announced for the event.
The biggest fight announced in terms of rankings will feature Canada’s own Elias Theodorou taking on Derek Brunson. Derek Brunson is currently ranked #8 in the middleweight division, with Theodorou placed at #14. Theodorou is currently riding a three-fight winning streak, owning victories over Dan Kelly, Trevor Smith, and Eryk Anders. Meanwhile, Derek Brunson will be looking to bounce back from a one-sided loss to Israel Adesanya in the first round from UFC 230 and hope to prevent dropping three straight, with a loss to Jacare Souza also in the rear view of Brunson.
