Walt Harris and Marcin Tybura threw hands in the co-main event position.
The two fighters met in a bout on Saturday night (June 5, 2021) at the UFC Vegas 28 event from Las Vegas, Nevada at the UFC Apex facility.
Things were looking good for Harris early on in the first round as he rocked his opponent twice. However, Tybura decided to take the fight to the ground and eventually flattened out Harris from back mount. Tybura unloaded with strikes until the referee stopped it.
Peep the highlights of the fight courtesy of the UFC’s official Twitter account:
Harris had earned notable wins over Aleksei Oleinik at the UFC San Antonio event from the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas by KO and Sergey Spivak by first-round TKO at the UFC Ottawa event in May 2019. Before that, his split decision win was turned over to a no contest with Andrei Arlovski at the UFC 232 pay-per-view event once Harris tested positive for a drug test. However, he had dropped back-to-back losses to Alistair Overeem and Alexander Volkov via TKO.
After dropping back-to-back losses, Tybura rattled off four straight wins over the likes of Sergey Spivak, Maxim Grishin, Ben Rothwell, and Greg Hardy.
