Updated Official UFC Rankings: OSP Climbs Top Ten, Shogun Falls Out

Following a busy weekend inside the world-famous Octagon, UFC has updated their official rankings to reflect the movements that occurred as a result of the fights that took place in Sydney, Australia and Uberlandia, Brazil.

Surprisingly enough, Luke Rockhold remained at number five in the UFC Middleweight rankings, despite submitting fellow top-ten fighter Michael Bisping, who oddly enough also remained idle at number nine in the rankings after Friday’s UFC Fight Night 55 event in Sydney, Australia.

The most notable changes coming out of this weekend were based on the UFC Fight Night 56 event, which took place on Saturday in Uberlandia, Brazil.

As a result of his stunning 34-second knockout of MMA legend Mauricio Rua, Ovince St. Preux moved up to number nine in the UFC Light Heavyweight rankings, while Shogun fell out of the top-ten to number 11.

The UFC Featherweight division was also shaken up in the latest update, as the removal of “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung, who will be out of action for two years due to military commitments, resulted in everyone in the division jumping up one spot.
