ORIGINAL STORY:
In just over two short weeks, former UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva will make the walk to the Octagon for his UFC 183 main event bout with UFC bad boy Nick Diaz, and if recently released training footage is any indication, “The Spider” is more than ready to return with a vengeance.
Silva (33-6) has not fought since suffering a gruesome leg injury during his rematch with current UFC Middleweight Champion Chris Weidman back in December of 2013, but as you can see in the following video, he is back in rare form and appears ready to blitz through the Stockton native.
Below is a video of a Silva sparring session where the former pound-for-pound king knocks out his training partner Douglas Moura (5-1) with a flying knee.
Despite much controversy, UFC President Dana White recently confirmed that Silva will earn a third shot at Weidman and the UFC Middleweight Championship with a win over Diaz.
Silva vs. Diaz headlines UFC 183, which takes place on January 31st at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, airing live on pay-per-view.
