UFC Featherweight contender “The Notorious” Conor McGregor appeared on ESPN 2’s “Highly Questionable” program in what is being described as a “bizarre interview” to promote his UFC Fight Night 59 bout this Sunday with Dennis Siver.
After talking to the hosts of the ESPN 2 sports-talk program about his sex life and partying with UFC President Dana White, McGregor shifted his focus to his opponent this Sunday night at UFC Fight Night Boston, particularly his past with performance-enhancing drugs.
“I feel he has been on that stuff his whole career and who knows his evolution?” said McGregor. “He has probably evolved his skills of hiding the substance. So as far as I’m aware, he could be entering this contest on performance-enhancing drugs as it is. I do not respect an individual like that.”
McGregor continued, voicing his belief that he’ll not only beat Siver on Sunday, but he’ll cut him from the UFC live inside the Octagon, joking that he’ll soon become the UFC Vice President and have the responsibility of making roster cuts.
“He has two options,” said McGregor. “He can either retire or he will be cut from the promotion. On the night, on the air, I will cut him myself as I believe I am shaping up to become vice president of the UFC pretty soon. So I will be making cuts myself.”
