Video: Conor McGregor’s Post-UFC 202 Media Scrum

Following his majority decision victory over Nate Diaz in their highly-anticipated 170-pound rematch at the UFC 202 event in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday night, UFC 145-pound champion Conor McGregor spoke with members of the media about a number of topics.

Featured above is a complete video archive of the post-show scrum with “The Notorious” one, who reportedly earned a $3 million purse for his second fight with Diaz tonight at the UFC 202 event, setting the new all-time record for a guaranteed fight purse.

McGregor originally held the record for his $1 million purse for the first Diaz fight at UFC 196, however when former UFC Heavyweight Champion and current WWE Superstar Brock Lesnar made his surprise comeback at last month’s historic UFC 200 show, he was paid a guaranteed purse of $2.5 million by the promotion.

MMAFighting.com was first to report the news that McGregor would be earning a guaranteed purse of $3 million for his second Octagon meeting with the Stockton Bad Boy. It’s worth noting that the $3 million figure does not include the pay-per-view percentages, sponsorship money and other earnings McGregor generated for the fight. For his part, Diaz reportedly earned a $2 million purse for the bout tonight.
