What Dana White was most afraid of has happened.
Earlier this week it was reported that Jose Aldo’s head coach Andre Pederneiras warned the UFC President that if Conor McGregor touches the UFC Featherweight Champion, things could get ugly.
Well, it finally happened.
Based on White’s description, which you can watch via the above video, it doesn’t sound like anything serious happened, although “The Notorious” did decide to poke the bear.
“He’s trying to put Conor McGregor in a seat behind [Aldo] and Conor McGregor reached over and slapped Aldo’s back,” White said when talking about the UFC staff setting up the stage for the Toronto stop on the UFC 189 “World Championship Tour.”
“And now Aldo is crazy and doesn’t want to do most the stuff we have to do today.”
White added, “Jose Aldo does not like Conor McGregor, and Conor McGregor is good at pushing his buttons.
The UFC has completed their stops in Rio de Janerio, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Boston, New York and Toronto. This weekend, the gang will travel to London and Dublin to finish out what has been an epic promotional tour.
UFC 189: Aldo vs. McGregor is scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 11, 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada, airing live on pay-per-view.
