New UFC women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm appeared on Good Morning America on Tuesday. She discussed her big win over Ronda Rousey at UFC 193 in Melbourne, and how she’s used to being the underdog.
“I’ve been the underdog before, I’ve had to come in after a lot of people doubting me before, and that definitely prepared me to know that believing in myself is huge and that’s the biggest thing,” she said.
Holm also addressed talk of a rematch between her and Rousey:
“I’ll train twice as hard as I did for the first one because I know she’ll be coming back.”
UFC president Dana White had previously said that a rematch between the two would “make a lot of sense,” which Holm agreed with.
