Wanderlei Silva is at it again. Earlier this week, “The Axe Murderer” posted on Instagram the following message:
“The best of all time! Soon enough the great promotions will be back to bring back the glamour and the respect to the sport. I’ll come back with amazing news, you will love it. The monopoly is coming to an end.”
Earlier this month, Silva announced his retirement after it was announced that he was banned for life in the state of Nevada for running from a pre-fight drug test.
While it’s only speculation, Silva could be talking about the Asian OneFC promotion, as he did reference the old PRIDE Fighting Championships days in the aforementioned Instagram post. Silva’s NSAC ban does not hold up in Asia, where OneFC is based, so it’s possible that “The Axe Murderer” could be returning to the MMA ring.
