It is being reported that Yoshihiro Akiyama (13-5) vs. Kyle Noke (20-7-1) is being considered for the upcoming UFC Fight Night 52 event in Japan.
Akiyama, who is confirmed to fight on the card for UFC’s return to Japan, last fought at UFC 144 back in February of 2012, dropping a three-round decision to Jake Shields.
Noke, on the other hand, last fought at The Ultimate Fighter Nations Finale show, where he dropped a three-round decision to Patrick Cote.
While the Akiyama-Noke bout has yet to be confirmed by the UFC, it is expected that the fight announcement will be made in the near future.
UFC Fight Night 52 takes place on September 20th at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan. The show will be headlined by a heavyweight bout between “Big Country” Roy Nelson and Mark Hunt. Also scheduled for the show is Miesha Tate vs. Rin Nakai, Takanori Gomi vs. Myles Jury and a rumored bout between Urijah Faber and Kid Yamamoto.
