Boy, UFC welterweight contender Matt Brown sure had a rough weekend.
After being attacked by fans multiple times during his UFC 198 entrance on Saturday night and losing via choke to Demian Maia inside the Octagon, Brown was also attacked by an old coach of his in the lobby of the hotel he was staying at over the weekend.
Brown’s ex-jiu-jitsu coach Rodrigo Botti reportedly ran into Brown’s hotel, struck Brown, and tried to run away, only to be caught by Brown’s friends and beat down in the parking lot outside of the hotel.
Video footage of Botti being caught and beaten down by Brown’s friends has surfaced online, and can be seen above via the embedded YouTube video player.
Additionally, Brown’s wife and UFC analyst Brian Stann spoke about the incident on social media, and UFC executives have issued a statement regarding the matter. You can check out the tweets and UFC’s statement below.
Not a random fan who attacked Matt. It was Rodrigo Botti who is an absolute psycho.

In Feb 2015 Matt wore wrestling shoes on mats and Botti got pissed..shoved Matt so Matt fought back. Botti called cops like a wimp.
