Tatame is reporting that IFL Featherweight Champion Wagnney Fabiano has signed a contract with Zuffa owned World Extreme Cagefighting. It is unsure of when he will make his debut with the organization at this time.
Fabiano brings a 10-1 record in the WEC and is right now riding a six fight win streak. All six of those wins came in the IFL en route to being the crowned the featherweight champion. His last win was a 37 second knock out of Shad Lierley in April at the IFL's final event.
The WEC is looking for fighters to face number one ranked featherweight and WEC Champion Urijah Faber and Fabiano bring new blood to the division.
Fabiano gives his thoughts to Tatame regarding Faber:
“Faber is the best of the world now. To beat him, I think you have to be in a good shape. He’s an expert fighter and he has a good gas, it’s complicated to beat a guy like him. You have to set a good game plan and be calm and watch the elbows, because if you hits you can chane a whole fight”, said the Nova Unio athlete.
