– Jordan Bailey def. Alex Higley via submission (rear-naked choke) at 3:27 of round 1.
– Rolando Perez and Mark Vorgeas fought to a split-draw (29-27 Vorgeas, 30-26 Perez, 28-28) after 3 rounds.
– Nick Garcia def. Matt Ramirez via submission (guillotine choke) at 0:56 of round 2.
– Andy Murad def. Bubba Pugh: Murad via split decision (29-28 X2, 28-29) after 3 rounds.
– Jonathan Santa Maria def. Ron Henderson via split decision (28-29, 29-28, 30-27) after 3 rounds.

– Muhammed Lawal def. Joe Vedepo via TKO in round 3.
Fight Notes: King Mo dominated round one, taking Vedepo down with ease and controlling him for the remainder of the round. In round two, it was much of the same. Vedepo’s eyes are swollen badly, pretty much completely shut. The third round begins with Mo hitting a series of hard punches to the face of Vedepo. Vedepo was rocked and dropped. Mo pounced and finished with strikes on the ground for a third round TKO. Vedepo’s face is a complete and total mess.
– Mike Richman def. Nam Phan via KO (punches) at 0:46 of round 1.
Fight Notes: From the word “go,” Richman put the pressure on Phan. Within a minute, Phan was dropped. Richman jumped in and brutally finished off the job. Amazing performance for Mike Richman.
– Joe Schilling def. Melvin Manhoef via KO (punch) in round 2.
Fight Notes: Good back-and-forth action early, all standing, as you would expect. Manhoef eats a low knee from Schilling. When the action resumes, Manhoef drops Schilling with a punch and jumps on him. He’s all over him like insanity, but it looks like Schilling is going to survive. The two get back to their feet and trade some shots to end the round. Wow. Second round, early on, Schilling drops Manhoef DEAD with a knockout punch. Amazing KO from Schilling.
– Will Brooks def. Michael Chandler via TKO (strikes) at 3:48 of round 4.
Fight Notes: Chandler and Brooks are in the cage now. Alright, this one is officially underway. The first round was not that eventful. Not a lot of action to speak of. We’re in the second round now and the pace appears to be picking up from both guys. Near the end of the round, Chandler caught Brooks with an accidental low blow and tried following up with a finish, ala Matt Hughes vs. Frank Trigg II, however the referee finally stopped the action and let Brooks recover. The third round just finished and was a lot of back-and-forth action. Brooks landed a number of flush shots to the face of Chandler in this round. This is turning into a pretty good fight. In the next round, Brooks ends up finishing Chandler up with a series of punches. The ref stops the action. Brooks is now the undisputed Bellator lightweight champ.
– Tito Ortiz def. Stephan Bonnar via split decision (30-27 Ortiz, 29-28 Bonnar, 30-27 Ortiz) after 3 rounds.
Round 1: Both men are in the cage. Our main event is officially underway now! Both guys come out swinging wildly. Bonnar defends a takedown attempt by Tito. A second takedown attempt works for Tito, but Bonnar wall-walks right back up. The “Tito! Tito!” chants break out in San Diego as Bonnar has Tito pushed against the cage. Tito circles out. Bonnar ends up getting Tito pressed against the cage agai.. Tito reverses and now he has Bnonar pressed up against the cage. Bonnar reverses. Both guys trade knees to the body. Not a lot of action thus far. The two separate. Bonnar paws with the jab. Bonnar lands a nice one-two. We’re half-way through the round. Bonnar is cut on the top of his head. Tito looks for the takedown again but Bonnar again defends well. Ortiz hits Bonnar with a low blow so the ref breaks the action. Tito lands a decent left hand. Bonnar fires off a multi-punch combo but nothing finds the mark. Bonnar lands a nice right hand. Bonnar has swelling around his right eye now to go with the blood trickeling down his head from his scalp. Tito lands a couple of nice shots. Tito gets a takedown with 20 seconds left in the round, likely securing himself the round in the judges eyes. MMANews.com scores the round 10-9 for Tito Ortiz.
Round 2: Bonnar comes out guns blazing in round two, but Ortiz defends pretty well. Ortiz lands a decent punch and shoots in for a takedown attempt. Bonnar defends. Ortiz lands a nice shot that seemingly stuns Bonnar momentarily. Bonnar recovers well. Ortiz goes for a takedown that Bonnar defends with ease. Ortiz grabs Bonnar in a guillotine choke position but Bonnar escapes and the two separate. Ortiz lands a shot to the body that has Bonnar stumbling backwards. He might’ve just been off-balance, but it looked good in the judges eyes either way. The fans fire up with “Tito! Tito!” chants again. Ortiz goes for another takedown attempt and this time he gets it. The announcer says he didn’t get it, but he did. He didn’t maintain control, but he got Bonnar down. Bonnar pops back up and the two separate and are circling each other standing now. We’re half way through the second round. Bonnar lands some decent shots standing but Ortiz takes them well. Bonnar’s face is a bloody mess, ala every Bonnar fight you’ve ever seen. Both guys seem pretty tired here as the second round nears its’ end. One minute remains. Ortiz steps in with a nice shot to the face of Bonnar. Ortiz shoots in for a takedown and gets it with only 45 seconds left. Ortiz has both hooks in and has the back of Bonnar. Bonnar rolls to his side. Ortiz throws some soft punches to the side of Bonnar’s head as Bonnar uses the cage to get back to his feet. Ortiz yanks him back down. Bonnar makes it back to his feet just as the bell sounds to end the round. MMANews.com scores the round 10-9 for Tito Ortiz.
Round 3: Bonnar comes out swinging to start the third. He lands a few of them, but nothing really clean. Ortiz fires back with a decent shot of his own. Ortiz clinches with Bonnar and muscles him down to the mat. Bonnar pops back up but Ortiz stays on him. He’s got Bonnnar on his knees against the cage. He’s looking to take Bonnar’s back standing but Bonnar turns into him. Ortiz hits an outside trip and this time takes Bonnar down completely. Bonnar again pops back up pretty quickly. The two separate with three minutes left in the third and final round. Both guys look extremely tired at this point of the fight. Ortiz has some blood on his eye now. Both guys are battered and tired, but their will is keeping them going as we reach the half-way point of the third round. The “Tito! Tito!” chants fire up again as Bonnar lands a decent one-two. Ortiz lands a nice right hand. 90 seconds left in the final round. Bonnar looks at the clock to see how much time is left. Ortiz lands a decent left hand again. Bonnar looks dead tired. Ortiz doesn’t look exactly fresh himself, for the record. Ortiz partially lands a knee to the face of Bonnar. Bonnar lands a nice desperation right hand. Ortiz ansers back. Both guys duke it out to finish the round. I’ve got Ortiz winning 3-0. MMANews.com scores the round 10-9 for Tito Ortiz.
