That’s it from LFA 109, which hosted six fights on the main card with three finishes. We saw bantamweight prospect Justin Wetzell (7-1) get the big upset over Askar Askar. Askar was signed to the UFC last February but was pulled from the card and cut due to failed medicals.
Wetzell took him out stealing the shine and possibly his roster spot in the UFC. In the main event, Terrance McKinney the contender series veteran blitzed through his opponent knocking him stiff in round one. Also, Edwin Cooper Jr. who stood out to UFC veteran Cub Swanson looked good. Cooper handed Brazilian Robson Junior his first loss and did it in dominant fashion.
