On Saturday, MMANews.com will again set the standards for live round-by-round results coverage of a UFC pay-per-view event, as we present live coverage of tonight’s UFC 199: Rockhold vs. Bisping 2 show.
Featuring Luke Rockhold vs. Michael Bisping 2 for the UFC Middleweight Title and Dominick Cruz vs. Urijah Faber 3 for the UFC Bantamweight Title, UFC 199 takes place at The Forum in Inglewood, California.
We will be providing quick-match coverage of the two preliminary cards and then the fastest, most-detailed round-by-round coverage of the main pay-per-view card.

UFC 199 Results — PPV Main Card
Bobby Green vs. Dustin Poirier
Round 1: Dustin comes out with a good counter right hand. Dustin is pressing the action, moving forward and mixing up his kicks and punches. Green with a good left hook counter shot. Poirier with another good leg kick and solid punch. Out of nowhere, Poirier drops Green with a huge shot. He follows in for the finish but Green is hanging in there for now. Green stumbles back to his feet and Poirier lands some more shots. Green lands a low blow but the action continues. Green appears to be mostly recovered finally, although he was very close to being stopped. Poirier hurts Green again with some more big shots. Green is recovering again. Poirier again rocks Green with a solid shot. Good follow-up shots from Poirier. Solid leg kick. Poirier is working Green with combos against the cage. Poirier drops Green again with a big left. He follows in with smoe punches and this time the referee jumps in and stops the action. Amazing performance by Dustin Poirier.

It is announced that Don “The Predator” Frye will be inducted into the Pioneer Era wing of the UFC Hall Of Fame during the induction ceremony at the UFC Fan Expo during International Fight Week on July 10, 2016.
UFC Honors Muhammad Ali
UFC honors Muhammad Ali with a lengthy video package on his life and career narrated by UFC President Dana White. UFC commentator Joe Rogan then interviews former NAC Executive Director and current UFC executive Marc Ratner about Ali. Rest in Peace to the undisputed Greatest of ALL-Times!
Dan Henderson vs. Hector Lombard
Round 1: The video package for Henderson-Lombard is airing now. This middleweight fight is up next. Bruce Buffer just finished doing his thing and here we go with our second PPV fight of the evening. Both guys come in with a big punch attempt, with Henderson’s H-Bomb just barely missing the mark. The fans chant “Hendo! Hendo!” as the two continue to feel each other out. Hendo with two consecutive leg kicks. Both guys are being cautious here in the early goings, respecting each others’ power. Henderson catches Lombard with an H-Bomb. Lombard blasts Hendo as he runs in to follow-up. Lombard is on top of Hendo in side control now. Lombard has Hendo stuck in a crucifix. Lombard is looking to secure the arm of Henderson. Lombard settles in full side control and is now comfortably controlling Hendo. Lombard moves to the crucifix position again. Henderson scrambles back to his feet. Lombard immediately drops him with a huge shot. He follows in to finish him but Hendo somehow gets back to his feet. Lombard blasts Hendo again. Hendo is still game. Lombard takes Hendo down and is working inside Hendo’s full guard now. The fans chant “Let’s Go Hendo!” as Lombard continues to control Hendo from the top position on the ground. 10 seconds left in the round. Hendo working some Royce Gracie style heel kicks to the kidneys of Lombard from the bottom. The horn sounds to end an incredibly exciting first round. Round 2: You could argue 10-8 for Lombard in the first, but Hendo also had Lombard badly hurt as well, so we’ll go 10-9 for Lombard. Regardless of the score cards, that was an amazing first round. Here we go with round two! Lombard with a nice kick. Both guys with a wild exchange but neither really lands anything flush. Both guys feeling each other out again here in the early goings of the second round. Out of nowhere, Hendo blasts Lombard with a high kick and then a follow-up elbow to the temple drops an unconscious Lombard, who eats another big shot on the ground, Hendo-Bisping style. Lombard is out cold, folks. What an amazing finish. Lombard is still out cold. The crowd is going nuts. We see Chuck Liddell in the crowd enjoying Hendo’s victory as the crowd continues to roar for the legend.

Max Holloway vs. Ricardo Lamas
Round 1: Both guys are in the cage and here we go. Holloway is pressing forward while Lamas is backing up and circling. Both guys feeling each other out a bit here early on. Holloway lands a good punch. Lamas with a good counter shot. Slow action here in the early goings. Holloway hurts Lamas with a punch and swarms in like a killer. He’s mixing up his attack to the body and using some kicks as well. Holloway picks apart Lamas but Lamas survives. Lamas goes for a takedown on Holloway but Holloway shows good takedown defense. Lamas continues to fight for it but they end up back on their feet. Nice wheel kick from Holloway. Holloway with some good punches. The buzzer sounds to end the round. Round 2: Lamas with some good leg kicks here early on in the second round. Max with some good punches. Slow pace here in the second, with Holloway controlling the action. Max landing some good shots now as the pace picks up. Max hurts Lamas with a good shot. He hurts him again with another good shot. Lamas stuns Max a bit with a counter shot of his own. Lamas goes for a takedown but Max avoids it and looks for a north-south choke. He lets it go and is in side control. He goes to take the back but they scramble and end up back on their feet. Max catches Lamas with a good kick on the way back up. Good right hook from Holloway. One minute left in the round. Holloway defends another Lamas takedown attempt. He switches to a choke attempt and Mike Goldberg is freaking like it’s going to be over. “It’s okay, he’s just crushinng his face,” Joe Rogan calmly replies. 25 seconds left in the round. Holloway gives up the choke and is hammering away with punches as the round ends. MMANews.com scores the round 10-9 for Max Holloway.
Round 3: This is turning into a good fight. Lamas was more game in the second than in the first, but Holloway essentially dominated both rounds in terms of significant damage and even overall fight control, for the most part. Lamas comes out a bit more aggressive early on here in the third and follow round, clearly aware that he needs a finish if he wants to win this one. Holloway is calm and pressing forward, waiting for his openings. Lamas misses a crazy spinning wheel kick. Holloway starts to turn it on a bit, picking and choosing his shots and landing with consistent accuracy. Lamas with a head kick that lands but Max eats it well. Max starts to mix up his attack again with knees, kicks and punches. He’s turning it on a bit as Lamas is now with his back against the cage in survival mode. Lamas starts fighting back. Spinning back elbow by Lamas. Max with a good one-two. Ten seconds left as each guy eats a jab. The two pretty much agree to just duke it out until the finish. And that’s exactly what they did. Awesome finish to a great fight. You’ve got to love Max Holloway. MMANews.com scores the round 10-9 for Max Holloway.

Brock Lesnar Announced For UFC 200
It was officially announced that Brock Lesnar will be fighting at UFC 200. The former UFC Heavyweight Champion and current WWE Superstar will make his Octagon return on 7/9 against an opponent to be determined. Lesnar was featured at the end of a new UFC 200 video that aired during tonight’s PPV, with Mike Goldberg and Joe Rogan discussing Lesnar’s return afterwards. UFC Bantamweight Championship
Dominick Cruz (c) vs. Urijah Faber
Round 1: Faber made his walk to the cage. Cruz just made his walk now. Bruce Buffer is doing his thing. Our first of two title fight main events is moments away! …Here …we …go! No touching of the gloves during the staredown for these two. Cruz takes Faber down early on. Faber gets butterfly guard. Cruz steps over one side. Cruz and Faber scramble. Cruz has Faber’s back standing. Faber leaning against the cage. Faber’s pants are falling down. That’s a first. Cruz and Faber scramble down and right back up. Faber finally gets his pants pulled back up. That’s definitely a first! Knee to the body by Cruz. Faber scoops Cruz up and slams him down but Cruz immediately scrambles and takes Faber’s back. Faber goes out the back door and has Cruz’s leg in somewhat of a standing Kurt Angle ankle-lock, for you WWE fans out there. Cruz’s leg gets loose and the two are back standing. Faber charges at Cruz and lands a decent punch. The fans chant “Faber! Faber!” here in Inglewood. Cruz utilizing his superior footwork to keep Faber from being able to do much of anything here at the moment. MMANews.com scores the round 10-9 for Dominick Cruz.
Round 2: The second round started off much like the first round for the first several minutes. Cruz ended up knocking Faber down at one point in the round but Faber managed to hang on and survive and recover. We are heading into the third round now. Round 3: In round three, the action remains standing throughout pretty much the entire round, with not much action stuck on the ground or the cage. Cruz utilized his superior footwork to keep Faber from being able to do much of anything to him standing for most of the round. Faber is definitely trying, but Cruz’s footwork is just too good. Round 4: Little bit of in-between round shenanigans from Cruz and Faber right at the end of the third round after the buzzer, but it’s calmed down before anything escalates. Round four is going much the same as the third throughout most of the round until Cruz drops Faber about three minutes into the round. Joe Rogan points out that Cruz just shook his hand and could be dealing with a broken hand right now. He points out that Cruz hasn’t been throwing the right hand much at all since shaking it. Good right hand by Faber as the round ends. MMANews.com scores the round 10-9 for Dominick Cruz.
Round 5: The fifth and final round of this championship fight is all that remains. Faber’s corner urges him to go for the knockout. Cruz’s corner urges him to calm down and quit looking so hard for the knockout. The fifth round begins with Cruz dancing around and picking his shots. Faber lands a nice right hand. Cruz is on his bicycle again, leaving himself nowhere to be found for “The California Kid.” Cruz gets Faber on the mat and is looking to take Faber’s back. He’s trying to get his hooks in but Faber is defending. Cruz lets go and goes for a high kick on the break but catches the arm of Faber. He lands a nice punch. Cruz goes for a takedown and lands a good uppercut on the break. Cruz takes Faber down. Cruz easily steps over into side control. Cruz working hard to try and find a finish of some kind. Faber’s pants are falling down again. Less than one minute remains in this trilogy fight. Herb Dean stops the action and literally has to tell Faber to pull his pants up. He does. 30 seconds left. Round 1: The video package for tonight’s main event just finished airing. Michael Bisping makes his walk to the cage. UFC Middleweight Champion Luke Rockhold is now making his walk to the cage. Fight fans get ready, our UFC 199 pay-per-view main event is just moments away! And …here …we …go. Round one of our main event is now officially underway. Rockhold with a nice leg kick. Bisping is pressing the action, going forward, but isn’t landing anything yet. Rockhold with a big middle kick that partially lands. Bisping with a leg kick of his own. Rockhold comes in aggressive, landing a good shot but leaving himself open. Bisping lands a nice shot in return. Rockhold with a good kick to the body. Bisping answers back with one of his own. Rockhold with a front kick to the body. Good straight left from Rockhold. Bisping with a decent right. Good inside leg kick by Rockhold. Bisping misses with a wild shot. Rockhold with a nice body kick. Joe Rogan speculates that Bisping might be hurt from that kick. He doesn’t appear to be. Oh my god. It happened. Bisping rocks Rockhold with a big shot. And another. He follows in and “Big” John pulls him off of him. Ladies and gentlemen, Michael “The Count” Bisping is our new UFC Middleweight Champion. Joe Rogan just said “holy shit!” He’s right, this is crazy.
