The two fighters met in a heavyweight bout at the UFC on ESPN 1 from the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Arizona on Sunday night (February 17, 2019). The former UFC heavyweight champion was caught by Ngannou with a flurry of strikes but it was the knee of Cain to give out and Ngannou finished him on the ground with strikes. 1. Doubt they will release him. He’s too big a star with name value. He’ll retire on his terms if he serves up another crappy performance like today.

  2. in the last 6 years he has been injured for 4.5 years. His body is falling apart. His prime has left the building. The only other fighter with time like that is Cruz..

  3. Yet he’s a two time ufc champion and is one of the best heavyweights of all time. They’re not releasing him, unless he goes on a 4-5 losing streak but he’ll mostly retire on his own terms.
