The crowd in Baku, Azerbaijan, got to go home happy after seeing a strong performance from UFC Baku headliner Rafael Fiziev, as he knocked out Manuel Torres.
As expected, the bout featured plenty of aggression and combinations. Fiziev seemed to have an edge, however, thanks to a leg kick focus and fairing better in getting on the inside.
Fiziev didn’t need long in the second round to put things away, however. After flooring Torres with a spinning heel kick, Fiziev followed up with some ground-and-pound to put him out for the win.

Torres falls to 17-4 as a pro and a 5-2 UFC record. Torres is 2-2 in his last four now. He entered this fight off back-to-back first-round knockouts of Grant Dawson and Drew Dober. This was Torres’ first UFC fight to leave the first round.
