Chelsea Chandler Scores Nasty Last-Second Kimura

Despite getting taken down during the fight, Chelsea Chandler suddenly came through and locked up an impressive submission victory over Melissa Croden during the UFC Edmonton prelims.

Croden took to the center of the cage early, working Chandler over with combinations before Chandler responded, making the fight more even. The two battled in the clinch along the fence before Croden found a takedown.

Chandler, however, managed to burst through and reverse position. With just seconds remaining in the first round, she locked up a nasty Kimura on Croden, scoring the submission win and appearing to injure Croden’s arm.

Chandler has now won back-to-back fights. She also scored a first-round submission in her previous outing, defeating Priscila Cachoeira in June.
