Two months after earning a UFC contract, Cristian Perez made a huge statement in his UFC debut, winning a quick but wild encounter with Kyle Nelson at UFC Edmonton.
Perez looked for a big start with an early roll-through, only to be met with a right hand from Nelson. The two then started swinging as Nelson looked to capitalize on the momentum, but Perez clocked him with a flurry.
A couple of follow-up shots later, and Nelson was out cold.
Perez, a Combate Global veteran, is now 16-2 in professional MMA. After losing to Manoel Sousa during the 2025 Dana White’s Contender Series season, he earned a UFC contract during this season with a TKO of Logan Paxton.
