Emiliano Sordi continues to put on strong performances in the PFL, as the 2019 PFL light heavyweight champion put a pounding on Abraham Bably for a second-round finish at PFL Chicago.
The two traded leg kicks in the bout’s opening minute, as both looked to find their range on the other man. Sordi clipped Bably with a left, while Bably missed on his counter. Sordi landed a one-two but slipped on a head kick, and Sordi was unsuccessful in trying to get Bably to follow him to the mat.
Despite being cut under one of his eyes, Bably dropped Sordi with a left hand in the closing stages of round one. Sordi then got back on the offensive. Halfway through the second, a combination rocked Bably, and Sordi pressed him with a flurry, scoring the finish.
The veteran bounces back from a loss to Simeon Powell at PFL Sioux Falls this past May.
