While he looks to take over the UFC’s heavyweight division, former Olympic gold medalist and NCAA champion Gable Steveson returned to the mats at RAF 12, scoring a clear victory over Anthony Cassioppi.
The first round featured a lot of feeling out and hand fighting, with Steveson earning a point after Cassioppi failed to get a point in shot-clock time.
Steveson got Cassioppi out of bounds during the second frame to earn another point, then got him out of bounds for another point in the third. Steveson added in a takedown in the final period to secure a 6-0 victory.
Steveson made his RAF debut with a win over Alexandr Romanov at RAF 09.
