Kevin Pease Sweeps His Way to Submission Win in Chicago

Kevin Pease was taken down, but he used his grappling to take control and score a first-round finish of Cassio Barao at PFL Chicago.

Barao appeared to have control in the early moments of the fight, scoring a takedown and looking to do work in top position. Pease, however, managed to reverse momentum with a sweep, getting himself on top and landing strong strikes from above.

Pease maintained control in the grappling battle, and he made his way to Barao’s back. After securing hooks, he managed to lock in a choke and force a tap-out.

Pease is now 9-0. The former CFFC champion made his PFL debut in August 2024, scoring a decision over Nick Meck.
