Noah Hermosillo showed an all-around performance in the opening bout of the PFL Chicago prelims, taking out Caden Cox in the third round.
Cox had control in the opening part of the fight, scoring an early knockdown as he looked to use his fists. But Hermosillo’s grappling ended up being the story of the fight, as he scored seven takedowns and had 2:30 of control time. While he didn’t keep Cox down for long periods of time, he took him down continuously.
Then, Hermosillo’s striking was on display with a series of body kicks in the third round that finished the fight.
Hermosillo made his professional MMA debut at PFL Washington D.C. in July, scoring a unanimous decision over Jacob Pais.
