Nick Galanti Quickly Earns Submission Win in UFC Debut

Nick Galanti didn’t seem to break a sweat in his UFC debut, scoring a quick submission of Julien Leblanc during the UFC Edmonton prelims.

Galanti landed an easy takedown in the first 30 seconds of the fight, posturing high and landing a strong right hand. Leblanc looked to get back to his feet, but that allowed Galanti to get to his back.

Galanti was able to split the fence and keep the fight grounded, scoring a submission via face crank.

Galanti, the now 9-1 former CFFC champion, earned a UFC contract with a 35-second TKO of Carlos Petruzzella on Dana White’s Contender Series in August.
