President Donald Trump Offers Press Secretary Role to Dana White?

In a new post on social media, U.S. President Donald Trump announces he has offered the role of Press Secretary to UFC CEO and President Dana White. Will White accept?

Could the nature of UFC post-fight press conferences make their way to the White House? That could be the reality if there’s truth to U.S. President Donald Trump’s latest social media post and it comes to fruition.

President Trump’s latest post on the social media platform Truth Social announces that he has offered UFC CEO and President Dana White the role of Press Secretary of the White House.

“I am pleased to announce that the Great Dana White, a violent Fighter and Warrior, has been offered the job of Press Secretary of the United States,” Trump wrote. “I have requested that he bring with him assistants, even though some are not from our country, of Islam Makhachev, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Justin Gaethje, Daniel Cormier, Amanda Nunes, and Kayla Harris [sic].

“We need these people to defend us against the Lunatic Left. Dana will be a Press Secretary like none other. Dana, please take the job!”

The role of the Press Secretary is to act as the primary spokesperson and public relations official for the President of the United States. The position was recently vacated by Katie Zacharia five days after she took the role.

It is unclear if White will actually take the role. White, however, in response to President Trump’s request, posted an image of him at the White House podium to his Instagram Stories.

If White takes the role, it is unclear what would happen regarding the UFC, as well as Zuffa Boxing and Power Slap.

White and Trump have had a long-standing friendship that stretches back to Zuffa’s early ownership of the UFC in 2001. The then-Trump Taj Mahal hosted UFC 30 and UFC 31 that year, and White has frequently cited Trump’s hosting as assisting him and the Ferrtita brothers during a time when they were trying to help give the UFC a turnaround.

The UFC hosted UFC Freedom 250 on the White House South Lawn this past June.
