A rising UFC featherweight has revealed a terrifying health scare that nearly claimed his life and has now cast serious doubt over his fighting future.
Danny Silva recently disclosed that he was hospitalized after doctors discovered multiple blood clots, including one that had traveled to his lung and caused a pulmonary embolism. After spending three nights in the hospital, “El Puma” has been discharged but will remain on medication for the next several months.
The 29-year-old American shared the ordeal in an emotional social media post, admitting he initially dismissed the symptoms as a training injury before his condition rapidly worsened during a routine run.
