Sean Strickland Disputes Dana White’s Claim About His UFC Freedom 250 Absence

ByAndrew RavensMixed Martial Arts Journalist

Sean Strickland says he was told by the UFC that he was “not cleared by the White House” to attend UFC Freedom 250, contradicting Dana White’s claim that Strickland simply does not want to be there.

Strickland posted his clarification on social media.

To Dana saying I wasn’t invited — I’ll clarify for this to you. After my fight Hunter said he will get it done. UFC filmed it and embedded has the footage. I later got a call from the UFC saying ‘I wasn’t cleared by the White House.'

Strickland also explained the political reason behind his change in stance toward President Trump.

I stopped supporting Trump after Israel made him bomb Iran the first time. Trump ‘stop bombing Iran.’ Israel ‘Trump we need your bombers.’ Trump ‘yes papa BB I got you.'
