The next generation of two iconic MMA names is about to collide, with their sons set to settle things in the boxing ring.
Gabriel Silva, the son of former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva, will face Kevin Ferguson Jr., better known as “Baby Slice,” the son of late MMA cult hero Kimbo Slice, at Brand Risk Promotions 15 on August 22 in Miami, Florida.
Silva has become a regular on the influencer boxing circuit and has competed on Brand Risk cards six times over the past two years. The Gabriel enters the matchup with a 4-0-1 professional boxing record, along with three wins and one loss in exhibition bouts. He is also coming off a victory over Ben Davis and will be making his fourth appearance of 2026.
Ferguson has taken a more winding path since beginning his combat sports career. The 34-year-old competed in MMA and spent time with Bellator, compiling a 3-3-1 record in the promotion before shifting toward boxing and celebrity events. He has also competed for Misfits Boxing, although several planned appearances have fallen through in recent years.
The matchup carries plenty of nostalgia given the legacies of their fathers. “The Spider” remains one of the greatest fighters in UFC history and holds the promotion’s record for consecutive victories, tied with Islam Makhachev. Kimbo Slice became a cult favorite through his viral backyard fights before competing in The Ultimate Fighter and eventually fighting inside the UFC.
Brand Risk 15 is headlined by Austin McBroom vs. Thomas “FaZe Temperrr” Oliveira, while streamer Vitaly Zdorovetskiy takes on bodybuilder Larry Wheels in the co-main event.
The event will take place in Miami and is scheduled to stream live for free on YouTube.
