Canadian Native Tanner Boser Takes Down Jhonata Diniz

The Canadian crowd was sent into a frenzy by the dominating performance of native Tanner Boser, as he put a beating on Jhonata Diniz in the featured UFC Edmonton prelim.

Both men threw their powerful punches in the opening minute, with each man looking to land on the button. Diniz, on the front foot, landed a quick uppercut, but Boser followed that with a takedown, controlling Diniz in that position for the remainder of the round.

Diniz looked to bring back the striking pressure he originally had in round two, connecting on the top of Boser’s guard and backing him up. Boser, however, managed to find another takedown, crucifixing Diniz and landing a series of in-close shots to the head and body, busting Diniz open, with Diniz barely surviving the frame.

Boser took Diniz down seconds into round three and completely demolished Diniz, busting him open more with strikes and getting the TKO with about 30 seconds remaining.

After a couple of years away from the Octagon, during which he had a fight in UAE Warriors, Boser made his UFC return earlier this year in Winnipeg, losing to Gokhan Saricam.
