‘The Real Deal’ – Fans & Fighters React As Ethyn Ewing Upsets Malcolm Wellmaker In Short-Notice UFC Debut At UFC 322

Making his UFC debut on just two days’ notice, Ethyn Ewing pulled off a highlight performance, ending the undefeated record of the highly-touted Malcolm Wellmaker during the UFC 322 preliminary card.

Wellmaker performed better in the second round, focused on the body attack. Ewing, however, did not deter and countered with his own moments, including some late knees in the clinch. Ewing then used his boxing and takedowns in the final frame to come away with the victory.

Ewing has now won nine straight since dropping his first two professional MMA bouts. Just last week, he scored a first-round finish over Bill Brand to capture the A1C interim bantamweight title.
