Jamahal Hill’s move to heavyweight has already made him the target of some friendly jokes from two former UFC champions.
During a recent episode of Deep Waters, Chris Weidman and Dustin Poirier poked fun at the former UFC light heavyweight champion while discussing the current state of the promotion’s heavyweight division. The conversation began with Weidman trying to estimate the number of active heavyweights on the UFC roster.

Poirier quickly seized the opportunity to take a playful jab at “Sweet Dreams”, who recently announced his plans to compete at heavyweight.
And Jamahal Hill counts as two of them.
The remark immediately drew laughter from Weidman, who joked that Hill might not appreciate the comment.

The 35-year-old American has endured a difficult stretch since defeating Glover Teixeira to capture the vacant 205-pound title at UFC 283. After vacating the belt because of an Achilles injury, Hill has dropped three straight bouts, including a failed championship bid against Alex Pereira at UFC 300.
Hill was last seen in action at UFC Baku in June 2025, where he dropped a lopsided unanimous decision loss to former title challenger Khalil Rountree Jr.
