Sean Strickland has officially joined the growing list of UFC fighters with customized fight gear, but his new look is unlike anything the promotion has released before.
Rather than opting for bright colors, national imagery, or an elaborate design, Strickland’s new custom shorts lean directly into his familiar no-frills style. The UFC has released a pair of denim-inspired “jorts” bearing the former middleweight champion’s name.
And these aren’t simply fight shorts designed to look like jeans.
The Strickland jorts come complete with functional side and back pockets, turning what could have been a novelty design into something fans can actually wear as everyday shorts.

Custom fight kits have become increasingly common in the UFC after years in which fighters had far less freedom to personalize what they wore inside the Octagon.
Sean O’Malley’s pink shorts and Bryce Mitchell’s camouflage design helped usher in a new wave of personalized gear, while stars including Alex Pereira, Ilia Topuria and Max Holloway have since received distinctive designs of their own.
Strickland’s version takes a very different approach.
The denim look plays off the former champion’s personality and fashion choices rather than relying on the type of elaborate graphics typically seen on custom fight kits.
The shorts are being sold through the UFC Store for $55.99, with sizes ranging from small through 4XL.
Whether Strickland’s new jorts become one of the promotion’s most popular custom designs remains to be seen, but they’re certainly difficult to confuse with anyone else’s gear.
