It seems like the UFC is going through a moniker-changing season.
Last month, Ilia Topuria announced that he would be abandoning his longtime moniker, "El Matador," in favor of "La Leyenda." The shift comes as Topuria vacated his UFC featherweight title to pursue a new challenge in the lightweight division, as he sets his sights on becoming a two-division champion.
However, the undefeated Spaniard isn’t the only UFC fighter to recently undergo a rebrand, as featherweight contender Nathaniel Wood has also opted for a fresh stage name.
Following his dominant unanimous decision victory over Morgan Charrière at UFC London last month, Wood revealed that he’s retiring the nickname "The Prospect," stating that he’s no longer an up-and-comer, but a bona fide contender.
On Friday, the 31-year-old Brit took to social media to unveil his new identity for the final stretch of his career, revealing that he will now go by “The Last Kingsman,” a moniker seemingly inspired by the popular Kingsman film franchise.
"16 years in this game, 'The Prospect' served me well. Time for a new chapter for the last few years of my career," Wood wrote on X.

“The Last Kingsman” has been part of the UFC roster since June 2018, but has struggled to generate sustained momentum, never surpassing a three-fight win streak.
Over that stretch, he’s compiled a respectable 9-3 record, with three of those victories coming by way of knockout.
