Watch Ex-UFC Heavyweight Aleksei Oleinik, 47, Suffer Sickening KO In BKFC Debut

Things didn’t go to plan for Aleksei Oleinik in his first taste of BKFC action.

Oleinik, a veteran of 80 professional MMA fights, switched to a new combat sport Friday in Dubai, competing in bare-knuckle boxing under the prominent banner of BKFC.

The company, which is co-owned by Conor McGregor, received some flak for signing 47-year-old Oleinik, who is known for his submission skills and has recorded just eight knockouts across his lengthy MMA career.

And the fears of many came true at BKFC 71 when “The Boa Constrictor” was rendered unconscious by a brutal right hand from opponent Gerônimo dos Santos.

Interestingly, while he’s signed to compete for BKFC, Oleinik also this year signed with the Global Fight League, a new MMA league set to launch next month. He was drafted by Team New York City and remains without a debut fight in the calendar.

Judging by the sickening nature of his KO on Friday, it would stand to reason that the Russian won’t be returning anytime soon.
